With the Easter Bank Holiday fast approaching, now is the perfect time to sit down and think about what kind of home improvement jobs you want to get started with. A few extra days off mean you can achieve quite a lot if you choose your jobs wisely so here are a few tasks you could start and finish before you go back to the office.

Weeding

Now that it’s spring, you’ll be spending more time outside so give your outdoor spaces a quick makeover and pull up all the weeds between your paving stones and pathway. Give your flower beds and hanging baskets a bit of a tidy up as well – you’ll soon see the difference.

Clean outdoor furniture

Get ready for the summer now and you’ll thank yourself come June. Outdoor furniture can quickly show signs of wear and tear so get your chairs and tables out, wipe them down and give them a coat of paint if needed.

Paint your hallway

Hallways see a lot of through traffic and they can quickly start looking dirty and tired if you’re not careful. There’s no time like the present for refreshing this part of the house with a beautiful shiny new coat of paint. And since it’s supposed to snow this Easter, staying indoors might be your only option!

Update the kitchen cupboards

You don’t have to replace these if you want to make your kitchen space feel different – what about swapping out your old handles for new more contemporary ones? Or you could get the sander out, sand down the panels and paint them in a new colour. Lots of fun to be had!
